YE’s musical language is characterized by an instinctive perception of sounds and their attributes, reflecting attention to various factors such as the nature of music itself, spatial effects, Chinese elements, modern compositional techniques, and their integration. His main works include: Late Autumn, Music From the Tang Dynasty, China Overtures, Looking Far to the Mainland, Pictures of Music and Dance, Impression of Beijing Opera,etc. In 2007, Late Autumn for orchestra won the European Composers Award, the only awarded prize among the works commissioned by the Young Euro Classic Festival in Germany.
