ZHAO Xi

• Professor in Composition and Chairman of the Composition Department at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music

Zhao Xi is professor and chairman of the Composition Department at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music where he oversees the specialization of Musical Creation. He is currently the director of Hubei Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC of Hubei Province.
Zhao continually ventures into wider musical genres and explores the harmonious integration of Chinese, global and individualistic music idioms. His compositions have won awards in numerous competitions, including the gold medal of “China Golden Bell Music Award”, the second prize of “Wenhua Musical Creation Award”, etc.
