Zhao Xi is professor and chairman of the Composition Department at the Wuhan Conservatoryof Music where he oversees the specialization of Musical Creation. He is currently the director of Hubei Provincial Collaborative imnoya.tion Center, a member of the $tanding Committee of the CPpCC of Hubei Province.
Zhao continualy ventures into wider musical genres and explores the harmonious intearation of Chinese, global and individualistic musicIdioms. His compositions have won awards in numerous com pelitions, including the gold medal of "China Golden Bell Music Award", thesecond prize of "Wenhua Musical Creation Award", etc.
