Tang Jianping is a composer, profesor of composition at the Central Conservatory of Music, and China's first doctor of composition. He has won the National Symphony Works Competition, the National Culture Award, the "Five One" project of the Central Propaganda Department, the National Stage Art Fine Creaion Project, and many other awards, such as the National Excellent Teacher and the National Teaching achievement first prize, Baogang Excellent teacher Special Prize. The opera "Diary of Rabe" was selected for theoriginal 2018 international Opera Awards Award and performed at the Berlin Opera,the Elbe Concert Hall, and the Ronach Opera in Vienna.In October 2018, the opera The dawns here are quiet was jointly performed by the National Center for the Performing Arts and theMarinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and other places. The opera Voyage to the East has been performed in Tokyo, OsakaNara, Japan, Lincoln Center, Chinese Taiwan, and other cities. The opera Song of Youth won the Grand Prize at the first Chinese OperaFestival.
