Introduction to the work
This work employs the depiction of the misty atmosphere along a mountain path, from the fog rising and clouds billowing, gradually dissipating, as a metaphor [...] The composition consists of four parts. Part One: Emphasizing the contrast in intensity. It begins with a flute solo to depict the hazy scene when the fog first rises, representing the initial state of inner conflict.
Part Two: Focusing on the emotional aspect of the sound. It contrasts speed and extreme pitch ranges to describe the scene when the mist is enchanting, releasing the surging and passionate emotions. Part Three: Concentrating on the changes in tone color. It employs non-harmonic techniques to describe the scene as the fog disperses, expressing inner determination and calmness after the resolution of conflicts. Part Four: Prioritizing the fluidity of music. It represents the search for inner freedom and philosophical contemplation of life after the mist has completely dissipated.
